Privacy Policy

“I never make exceptions. An exception disproves the rule.”

Our Privacy Policy

The data that you send to Puzzle Mysteries shall be kept strictly confidential. We do not sell or pass on any of your information to third parties. We use cookies to save your progress (logged in users only) and to monitor how the website is used (we use google analytics with anonymised data). Puzzle Mysteries will handle your data with the utmost care.

The only information we ask of you is an email address, a detective name and a password. We need an email address to reach out to you, for example if you have forgotten your password. We will never use your email address on the website.

We ask for your detective name because we might want to keep a leaderboard in the future. If you think this is a cool idea, choose a unique name. If you'd rather be more anonymous, just choose the standard 'Dr. Watson' as your detective name.

Puzzle Mysteries does not collect data other than what is necessary for a well functioning website. We do not use trackers or other such software. The data is saved in secure systems, and passwords are only saved in hashed formats.

We do not put any advertisements on the website. In the future we plan to add a possibility to donate, for those who enjoy solving the mysteries and want to support us.

If you want to unregister all your data will be deleted. For now, let us know via the contact page if you want to unregister. In the future this will be automated via an unregister page.

Thank you for using puzzle mysteries! We hope you have as great a time solving the mysteries as we have creating them. If you have any questions or critisisms on our privacy policy, let us know via the contact page.
